Be among the first to experience Hyper-V protection in x360Recover
Join the Early Access Program for Hypervisor protection
A simpler way to protect virtualized environments is coming to x360Recover.
ConnectWise plans to introduce native hypervisor protection for x360Recover, beginning with Microsoft Hyper-V in 2026. This upcoming capability will allow partners to connect x360Recover to a Hyper-V host, discover its guest virtual machines, and manage protection more centrally.
Instead of deploying and maintaining a backup agent inside every protected VM, partners will be able to manage protection through the Hyper-V host, helping simplify deployment, apply protection more consistently, and reduce management overhead across virtualized environments.
Join the Early Access Program to be among the first partners to experience Hyper-V protection in x360Recover and provide feedback directly to our product team.
Join early to receive:
- Early access to Hyper-V protection in x360Recover
- The opportunity to work with the product team and provide feedback
- Early experience with host-level VM discovery and protection management
- Product updates throughout the Early Access Program
- A head start preparing your Hyper-V environments for the new capability

Features
Simplify protection across Hyper-V environments
Managing backup agents across every virtual machine adds work as environments grow. Each VM can mean another deployment and configuration to maintain, while some workloads may not be practical to protect with a guest-level agent.
Hyper-V protection in x360Recover is designed to provide a more centralized approach.
With the planned capability, you will be able to:
- Connect x360Recover to a Hyper-V host and discover its guest VMs
- Reduce the need to deploy and maintain a backup agent in each protected VM
- Automatically schedule newly discovered VMs for protection or manage them individually
- See VM protection status and identify workloads that need attention
- Protect workloads in environments where installing software inside the guest is restricted or impractical
Get early access and help shape what comes next
Early Access is more than a preview. It is an opportunity to use the capability in real-world environments and provide feedback directly to the x360Recover product team.
Your experience can help us understand how Hyper-V protection fits into partner workflows, where we can simplify the experience, and what should come next as we expand hypervisor protection.
Microsoft Hyper-V is the first planned hypervisor platform. VMware, Proxmox, and other hypervisors are planned for later roadmap phases and are not part of the initial Early Access release.
Who should join Early Access?
This program is ideal for x360Recover partners that:
- Manage Microsoft Hyper-V environments
- Protect multiple VMs across client environments
- Want to reduce per-VM backup agent deployment and management
- Manage workloads where guest-level agent installation may be difficult or restricted
- Want to test upcoming capabilities and provide feedback directly to the product team
Frequently asked questions
What is Hyper-V protection in x360Recover?
The planned capability will allow x360Recover to connect to a Microsoft Hyper-V host, discover its guest virtual machines, and manage their protection through the host environment. This reduces the need to deploy and maintain a backup agent inside each protected guest VM.
Is this completely agentless backup?
The Hyper-V host uses an x360Recover agent/configuration. The key difference is that partners can reduce the need to deploy and maintain a separate backup agent inside each protected guest VM.
What recovery capabilities will be available?
The initial release is planned to support VM recovery through the vault and bare-metal recovery from disk image. Additional details about supported recovery workflows will be provided to Early Access participants.
Will VMware or Proxmox be included?
No. Microsoft Hyper-V is the first hypervisor planned for the program. VMware, Proxmox, and other hypervisors are planned for later roadmap phases and are not included in the initial Early Access release.
When will Early Access begin?
Hyper-V protection is planned for Q4 2026 Early Access, pending release readiness. Partners who sign up will receive additional information about availability, eligibility, and onboarding as the program approaches.
